How much THC does the product contain?
Believe it or not, CBD products are not all about CBD. Depending on what youâre looking for, the THC content will affect your experience with CBD products.
THC and CBD are best buds, they work best when put together. They interact with each other in something called the âEntourage Effectâ which we will explain in more detail.
The entourage effect
No, not this isnât a side effect of how cool you become after watching the original HBO series â itâs a theory that describes how cannabinoids affect each other. In the case of THC and CBD, itâs very interesting: CBD counteracts the psychoactive effects of THC and THC helps CBD bind to your cannabinoid receptors in your brain.
What does this mean for you? Ask yourself what kind of experience youâre looking for. You can cultivate your own experience by using CBD extracts paired with THC extracts. If youâre looking for a pure CBD experience, use only CBD â but if youâd like to control your high, you can use a THC extract to help them work together to create the type of high youâre looking for.
Learn the lingo
Reading the nutritional information has become a ritual when shopping for groceries â but reading the label on your cannabis? Weird, right? What else could be in it other than⌠cannabis? Well itâs not so much about what ingredients are in it, then whatâs in it.
When looking for CBD products, look out for the words âCO2 Extractionâ on the packaging because it often means a higher quality product. Wait, what the heck is âCO2 Extractionâ and which Terminator movie is that from? Okay, we know exactly what it is and it actually isnât as daunting as it sounds. It means that the CBD was extracted from the plant using high-pressure carbon dioxide gas, not chemical solvents â which is good! CO2 is a common food additive and is safe to consume â itâs what makes soda fizzy!
