From fire dancing to ice sculptures, Elderflower cocktails to fresh oysters, our brand launch party was one for the books.
Hosted on March 9th, 2018, we took the festivities to the fifth floor of the historic CKUA Building, an architectural gem in downtown Edmonton. To celebrate our move to Alberta, we treated our wonderful partners and staff to a night of local eats, tunes and artful entertainment on one of the city’s most scenic rooftop patios.
The event took place on the same night as the Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championships, an ice-cross downhill competition with a mind-bending track winding through the largest urban greenbelt in North America. Jasper Avenue was buzzing with excitement, and our party was steps from all the action. Bright lights, bustling crowds, rolling riverbanks—the ambiance was set, without a doubt.
As sunset fell on the patio, a slight chill hung in the air (-4°C, balmy for Edmonton standards), but we served up plenty of gear to warm up our guests. Heated lamps, blankets, toques and vests kept everyone toasty as they munched on fresh fare from The Provincial. All the while, spiralling flames from the fire dancer cast an energetic glow on the patio.
To escape the wintry frost, the interior office space was a welcome retreat, with an Instagram-worthy photo wall, a talented pianist and the Crashed Ice TV coverage on big screens.
We’d like to thank our nearest and dearest friends in the Edmonton community, Clark Builders, DIRTT Environmental Solutions, Naheyawin Creative and FREE Branding & Digital, for making our event a success. It was a blast greeting Canada in the best way we know how: with warmth, good vibes and incredible people.
